The Golden Rules for Your Flag:
Touch Delicately: This is a sacred emblem woven in silk. Always handle delicately with clean, dry hands. Avoid rubbing or pulling the threads.
Cleaning: Do not wash. Pure silk, especially handloom silk, should never be machine-washed or soaked. We strongly recommend by dusting the flag, if cleaning is absolutely necessary.
The Seamless Weave: Our flag is woven as one marvel. To preserve its shape and the BIS-mandated proportions, do not iron or steam directly.
Storage: When not worn, store your flag flat or preserve the flag in the container. Place away from direct sunlight, which can fade the vibrant Tiranga colors.
What material is the flag made of? It is 100% pure silk - Queen of Yarn".
What is the 'Handloom Mark' certification? Handloom Mark Label is an official mark from the Ministry of Textiles, guaranteeing the product is genuinely hand-woven and not machine-made.
What are the dimensions of the Hirudiyam Pocket Flag? Our Hirudiyam Pocket Flag adheres strictly to the official 3:2 ratio, with dimensions of 9 cm (Horizontal) by 6 cm (Vertical).
Is the flag suitable for wearing outdoors? Yes, the Hirudiyam Flag is designed to be worn outdoors, day or night. Its durable handloom weave and pure silk construction make it resilient for daily attachment to any attire. However, as a high-value silk, the flag is not designed to withstand rainy weather. Our craftswomen maintain exceptional focus while measuring and cutting the valuable silk fabric. Uniform Templates: We use custom made, uniform templates designed to guarantee that every cut adheres to the official 3:2 ratio and BIS specifications. Multi-Stage Inspection: The flag goes through seven critical inspection points during the making process to ensure colour, weaving flaws, stitch, dimension, and fold is flawless before it reaches you This commitment to careful hand-crafting, combined with professional templates and rigorous checks, ensures every flag meets the highest standard of excellence.

Furthermore, all supporting materials—from the hard board and mounting materials to the tying yarn and threads, are made in house, or locally made, or sourced from handloom-supporting workshops in our close neighbourhood.
